This is the final October Mac games chart and no one caught
Myst 4 Revelation DVD which stormed into an early, unassailable lead, leaving even the excellent Railroad Tycoon 3 floundering in second place.
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic DVD was a late release that quickly outpaced
Tom Clancy Splinter Cell DVD to take third place. But what about the staggering performance of
Age of Empires 2 Gold Edition? Takes fourth place on its third birthday! Simply amazing! Quality will tell whatever the age, we're big Age of Empires 2 fans here at MacGold. Speaking of quality the rest of the top ten is made of such stuff with former chart toppers such as
Call of Duty DVD, and
Battlefield 1942 Deluxe DVD being joined by original titles such as
Space Colony. In fact, it seems Mac gamers cannot get enough of WWII sims as the excellent
Medal of Honor Allied Assault Deluxe DVD comes in at a respectable 11th position.
Nonetheless there are many non-violent chart makers this month with
Railroad Tycoon 3 in second place and
Sim City 4,
Zoo Tycoon,
Championship Manager 4,
Sims Deluxe and
X-Plane 7 all reaching the rarified atmosphere of the top twenty.
As for next month? Well, November will see the battle joined by
Football Manager 2005 and
Homeworld 2 amongst many. But maybe the eternal attractions of the world of Myst will see them off? Check-in throughout November to see who's winning!
