First thing if u wanna get your skills up is CHEAT!
Press control + shift and c at the same time then in the little box put in move_objects on and go in buy mode delete ur sim go back to live mode click on his/her face and then go to an object that works on a skill use it until u are in a bad mood repaet deleting your sime which puts u in a good mood then repeat this whole process until u have the dirired skill points. IMPORTANT: YOU MUST SAVE BEFORE DELETING YOUR SIM - SAVE EVERY TIME U DELETE HIM OR ELSE THE POINTS U EARNED WILL BE DELETED ALSO!!!

At first I thought making my sims famous is hard, but it is easy, just make friends with someone who has a star above their head who is not someone famous in the real world and invite them on vacation/to your house then you gain stars!
