The Sims Superstar is a game published by Aspyr for the Apple Macintosh. Also part of the Sims Complete Collection compilation.
An add-on for The Sims. Players can now pursue their dream of a celebrity lifestyle as enjoyed by rock stars, film stars and supermodels! The Sims will be able to earn celebrity status by visiting 'Studio Town', a new area where you can pursue a career in acting, music, or fashion.
'What's new? I can already pursue several different careers!' I hear you say. This is all regulated by a key new feature: the Fame Score, which encompasses a range from 'Nobody' to 'Superstar.' . In order to gain popularity, characters must sign with an agent and then move to Studio Town, a new fully customisable location which houses television and movie lots, recording studios, fashion outlets, and spas.
The road to stardom is by using a number of new social interactions including 'schmooze' 'network,' and 'sign autographs.'
Studio Town has a number of new objects as well, including karaoke machines, soap opera sets, and fashion runways which you will unlock by raising your Fame Score. You get new transport in the shape of limousines to transport you to the studios.
New spa areas will allow Sims to take a mud bath, or even indulge at an oxygen bar. Objects and services like satellite dishes, skydiving simulators, art and furniture collections, steam baths, and massages are also available.
The homes of your Sims will also change to match their celebrity status. A satellite dish, massage chair or even a personal scuba room and skydiving simulator are possible. The game has new characters, including butlers and masseuses will fulfil your every whim and obsessed fans will be stalking your every footstep. You might even pick up a Simmy Award or a Sim Choice Award.
