One of the most successful selling football games of all time makes it to the Mac for the very first time, with a whole new look and feel. The Kick Off brand has sold nearly 3.5 million units world-wide over the past 12 years and now for the first time ever Mac owners, whether old or young, can experience a totally different and fun packed experience in football gaming. What makes Kick Off so exciting is that it will be by far the fastest football game available to play. It throws the player head first into the pace and excitement of international soccer with a sprinkle of humour. Kick Off will stand out amongst other football games because of it unusual control system and playing mode.
General
There will be 204 national teams, each with 16 players. This is the full list of countries affiliated to FIFA.
Each teams stats. will be rated according to the FIFA ratings, which rates France as the top team.
Each player will have a unique combination of eight skills and physical attribute stats.
Play Options
The game will have 1 or 2 player options.
There will be a Practice mode for the players to learn and master controls
Skill Levels: Since there is considerable difference in strength between teams, the game can be played on a level playing field.
Ball Control: There are levels of ease in ball control.
Keeper Skills: The skill levels of the Keepers can be set.
Competitions
1. Exhibition Matches - Select any two teams for a match.
2. Play In a League - Construct your own league.
3. Cup Matches - Organise your own Cup Competitions.
4. Competitions Rules - The rules for each competition can be set by the players. The options are
Duration of each half
Golden Goal
Penalty Shoot Out
Offside ON/OFF
Fouls ON/OFF
Point system in league
Knock out or 2 leg Cup Competition
Wind strength from no wind to very strong wind
Pitch conditions from Dry Hard to Muddy
Night or Day matches
Back Pass Allowed YES/NO
Challenge
The player selects his team and then plays against teams selected by the computer. Each match gets harder as the challenge progresses.
Editor
The editor gives the player opportunity to totally customise his team, starting from scratch.
Team Name - Input any team name
Player Names - Input names of 16 players
Players Stats. Each player on the team is allocated 400 points and one star player is allocated 500 points. Each of the 8 stats. for the player can be adjusted individually as long as the total does not exceed 400 points i.e. if you give tackling 80 points, other 7 stats. have to share remaining 320 points. Up to 32 teams can be designed and stored individually or as a block.
Kit Design The player will be able to design his own home and away kit.
Stadium Design: The player will be able to select his own stadium from several available options.
Grass pattern Select your own grass pattern.
Edit Hair/Skin colour and hair style of each player in your squad.
Select the goal posts from several available.
Select the ball design from heavy leather ball to modern ball.
This custom squad can then be stored along with the 6 predesigned tactics with your own tactical instructions. A player can now play with his custom team in any of the competitions. The custom teams will be entered in league or cup competitions.
