Age of Mythology is the successor to Age of Empires 2 Gold was a massive hit on the PC and was brought to the Mac by the classic combination of MacSoft and Westlake.
Age of Mythology Campaign:
Age of Mythology players guide one of nine ancient civilisations to greatness by commanding all aspects of their empire, from establishing profitable trade routes and building new settlements to waging war and advancing through four distinct ages. In their struggle for supremacy in Age of Mythology, players can use mythological creatures like Minotaurs and Cyclopses to bolster their armies' strength, and they can call upon the gods for assistance in flattening enemy towns with meteors or scattering opposing troops with lightning storms.
Follow Arkantos' 35 scenario journey through ancient lands and epic battles.
In Age of Mythology you guide your forces from the siege at Troy, to the pyramids in Egypt, to the snow covered mountains in the North, to the mythological underworld. As progress is made through the single player campaign, parts of the story are presented using in-game cinematic interludes, featuring the actual units being played with (and the environments played in) to tell the tale.
Age of Mythology features Greek, Norse and Egyptian Gods and units, many of them mythical.
