Clive Barker's Undying
1899: At the Island of the Standing Stones, Jeremiah Covenant and his four younger siblings read aloud a dark ritual, little knowing that their childish game would set loose an unimaginable horror upon the world. This game is a horror movie of your own creation. Rumour has it that the Westlake guys won't play this game in the dark.
The adventure begins in Ireland in 1920. Patrick Galloway is summoned to an ancestral estate by its lone descendent Jeremiah. Death has claimed his four siblings, who have been reanimated and are now intent on slaying their living brother to free the Undying King. To save his friend and unravel the curse, Patrick must embark on five perilous quests before he can unearth the final horror of the estate. Each quest brings Patrick face-to-face with one the undead siblings and the strange and wicked creatures the curse has attracted. Patrick must also triumph over his reviled competitor Kiesinger. It's up to Patrick to defeat each of undead siblings and vanquish Kiesinger to quell the Undying King. Live the horror or die trying.
As Patrick Galloway, gamers are armed with arcane magic and a six-shot
weapon of forged metal grace. Also, you can collect an explosive arsenal, including the Tibetan War Cannon; and harness lethal black magic spells, such as the explosive Skull Storm. Two-fisted combat is a deadly combination, as players can fire weapons with one hand and unleash deadly spells with the other.
This game has been rated M, for Mature (suitable for ages 17+), by the ESRB.
