New Panels System:
Keep track of your storylines. With Final Draft 7 you can now split your screen into separate panels and view your script pages in one panel and index cards in the other. If you enable the new Navigator panel (a consolidated, linear, top-to-bottom list of the Scene Headings) you can now go straight to a particular scene in the Script Panel, with a simple double-click of your mouse.
New Index Cards:
Final Draft have added a whole new dimension to its tried and tested 'Scene Navigator' Index Card feature. Every card now has TWO sides - one of which is editable. So while the 'Script Side' works just the way you're used to in Scene Navigator, the 'Summary Side' lets you type in development ideas, notes, sequences, or act markers, comments, locations, etc... anything you need to build and organise your story. Brainstorming, writing and rewriting your script is easier with this comprehensive, interactive overview feature.
New Tagger Feature:
A new stand alone application (created with the help of veteran assistant directors, producers and unit production managers) enables you to 'tag' elements of a script (cast, costumes, props, etc.) and export the results into any movie scheduling software (including MM Scheduling and Gorilla Pro).
Other improvements in Final Draft 7 include:
Improved Cast List, Revision Header, PDF exporting, the Title Page and CollaboWriter features. The expanded 'Ask the Expert' feature with screenwriting guru Syd Field now includes expertise from television writer Larry Brody, playwright Jon Dorf and text from the WGAw's 'The Creative Rights Handbook'.
Final Draft script formats are accepted internationally and in the UK by The Film Council.
