NetBarrier X4 provides the most user-friendly and powerful firewall features, and adds new functions to make the program even more secure and more customisable. With four lines of defence, NetBarrier X4 offers Firewall, Antivandal, Privacy and Monitoring features.
Among the program's new features are more specific firewall rules, simpler rule creation using a Services Library palette, and rules that operate only during specified time periods. NetBarrier X4's Antivandal offers greater control over sensitivity for different types of attacks, and more flexibility in using the Stop List and Trusted Group.
The program's anti-spyware feature lets users allow or block network access by application and by port, and its Internet filters have been improved and refined.
In addition,NetBarrier X4 now finds available AirPort (Wi-Fi) networks, and several Mac OS X Tiger Dashboard Widgets provide easily accessible information, such as network traffic data.
New Features present in Intego NetBarrier X4 include:

In addition, NetUpdate X4 can be integrated with iCal through the new Intego calendar, and can be accessed via the Intego menu. Users can schedule when to check for updates and NetUpdate X4 will automatically check the Intego server for updates for Intego NetBarrier X4, as well as any other updates for Intego software installed on the user's computer.
