Explore the Galaxy
Explore rich solar systems, complete with jump lanes, worm holes and hostile alien races. Piece together the mysteries of the 'Orion 5 X's' and bring your people into a golden age of prosperity. Choose from four sizes of amorphous cluster galaxies and three sizes of spiral galaxies.
Interact with 16 Races
Master of Orion III features 16 different races and even lets you create your own race. Use espionage to spy on your enemies, incite revolts, assassinate leaders, and seat yourself in the highest chair of the Orion. Lead by using oppressive force or subtle negotiation. Participate in galactic councils. Trade technology, make and break treaties, demand tribute and propose Bills in the Orion Senate.
Create Your Own Ships and Weapons
Master of Orion 3 allows you to research and design exotic ships and weapons to crush your enemies. Build ships with Star Drives or System Drives. Add amplifiers to speed travel along a Star Lane. Craft your weapons designs as carefully as you craft your technology strategy.
Exterminate Your Enemies
Colossal Space Battles feature beautiful, tactical real-time combat that keeps play moving at a brisk pace. Plan your strategy before entering battle and then orchestrate your Tactical Forces with precision and power. Fight your enemies in space or on the surface.
