|
Tomb Raider 5 Chronicles is a game published by Aspyr for the Apple Macintosh. Tomb Raider Chronicles is the fifth adventure in the Tomb Raider series.
Has Lara gone forever? In light of Lara's disappearance (see the end of Tomb Raider 4 The Last Revelation), a memorial service for her is held by her closest friends on a cold, dark, rainy day. When the sad memorial service for Lara Croft is over, her old friends make their way back to Lara's home, the Croft Mansion.
Once there they begin to reminisce about her little known past adventures. Each memory provides a new flashback adventure, from a high -tech city, and the ruins of Ancient Rome, to a German U-boat and more. You'll learn how Lara attained the four special ancient items to be found at the Croft Estate.
Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away, Lara's nemesis, Werner Von Croy, co-ordinates a frantic archaeological dig, seemingly searching for answers buried deep beneath the Egyptian desert...
In this new adventure you can utilise new nimble moves, like tightrope walking, parallel bar swinging and a hand-to-hand stealth attack. Kick butt with new weapons that include a grappling hook gun, a sniper rifle, and chloroform.
An enhanced inventory system provides greater combinations of a variety of weapons and items.
Is this the end for Lara? No way! Now you can create your own adventures for Lara, with the Tomb Raider level editor, including a tutorial plus all the tools required to construct them! You can model rooms, place objects and triggers, use textures and when you're ready you can move to the preview mode to admire your handy work. This makes Tomb Raider infinitely replayable. Also, all maps will be PC/Mac compatible so you'll be able to trade them with anyone, including PC owning friends - though you really need to get a better class of friend :)
